Wisdom Wednesday: Shine On

Today's quote comes from Maya Angelou, and I love it. I set it with a shining light. :)  I adapted this design from a poster we made in my Art of Poster Design class, which was really fun!

Please feel free to pin and share this, and Shine On!

Wisdom Wednesday: Work

Happy Wisdom Wednesday! I was paging through my quotes this morning and came across this beauty from Kahlil Gibran, a Lebanese-American writer and poet. Here are the words:

"And what it is to work with love? It is to weave cloth with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth. It is to build a house with affection, even as if your beloved were to dwell in that house. It is to sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with joy, even as if your beloved were to eat the fruit. It is to charge all things you fashion with a breath of your own spirit. Work is love made visible."
-Kahlil Gibran

I picked part of the quote and set it in two fonts from Yellow Design Studio. Like so:

Work is love made visible. -Kahlil Gibran

This is set as an 8x10, and please feel free to Pin it, or contact me if you'd like a printable version!

Happy Wednesday!

Wisdom Wednesday: Love

This Sunday is doubly special: it's Father's Day, and it's my 13th wedding anniversary. I thought that today's Wisdom Wednesday should be about love. I think that LOVE is a force just like gravity is, and this quote echoes that sentiment. Here it is:

This is set on a solid paper from Carina Gardner, and in the Veneer font from Yellow Design Studio.
