Funny, CKC Buffalo, and Registration on Friday

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Rowen won the funny again.

It went down like this:

We were outside in the driveway writing with chalk. She was mimicing that rhyming bird from Dragon Tales, you know the one? That’s like “Bird, word, heard!”

So she says, what rhymes with ball? “Ball, fall, call!” And so forth. Of course plenty of her words were made-up ones, (grall?) and that’s cool, too. But she gets the concept of rhyming, and I think that’s awesome.

So she says after awhile, “What rhymes with pull-up (i.e. the ones she still wears to bed)?” Most of her words had been easy up to this point, and I couldn’t think of anything that rhymed with pull-up…  So I jokingly said, “Shmull-up?”

And she says, “Shmull-up! Yeah!” As if I had hit upon a great and clever word.

So I said, “What is a shmull-up?”

She thinks for a second. “It’s a… a crazy kind of car!”

Just wait, everyone. My girl is going to design the vehicle of the future.

And it will be called a shmull-up.

Kinda has a nice ring, don’t you think?

CKC Buffalo

I’m off to CKC Buffalo tomorrow morning. Can’t wait! I’m teaching a bunch of classes and generally hanging out with scrappers, which is my second favorite thing next to hanging out with my family. :)

I’ve never been to Buffalo, so if you have good recommendations of a place to grab dinner while I’m there, let me know, ok? :)

Up & Running Registration on Friday!

We’ve been busily getting all ready to go for the registration on Friday!

Don’t forget, you can register for my Up & Running with Photoshop class starting on Friday at NOON EST! Just go to the course description page here, and the Add to Cart button will be activated. You’ll just check out using Paypal or a credit card, and be all registered. I’ll send you more information when I get our class participant list together, and we’ll go from there. I am SOO excited!

If you have questions, please feel free to ask them in the forum over at, or send me an email and I’ll be happy to help.

p.s. Got the official word from Nisa. She is, indeed, grabbing Ben’s butt in the photo at the end of yesterday’s post. Glad to have that cleared up. :) And I’m sure she’ll be scrapping that one for posterity.
