Friday Post 2 of 3
Why does all my big news lump together in one day? I have no idea.
If you’ve been reading Ali’s blog or receiving CK News Flashes, you know that Creating Keepsakes is teaming up with the other Enthusiast Media publications to offer a very special All About Me Album kit.
During the month of October (which happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month), you can purchase this awesome All About Me Album Kit for just $15.00. In return, Enthusiast Media (CK, PaperCrafts, and Simple Scrapbooks) will donate $3.00 of the proceeds to support breast cancer initiatives. The goal is to raise $100,000.00 in the month of October. Imagine all of the GOOD that can be done if a bunch of us get together for a great cause.
For a mere fifteen bucks, you can pick up a really great 20-page 8x8 album, complete with a fabric-covered storage box and hundreds of bits and pieces to make a unique album all your own. (Or if you want, there are step-by-step assembly instructions so you can put the whole thing together in a weekend). While you’re at it, you could pick up a few albums and interview your mom, your sisters, all the important women in your life, or give blank albums as gifts. What greater gift can you give to someone than the chance to tell their story and preserve a part of themselves forever? And knowing that a portion of your purchase has gone to help women survive one of our deadliest threats is a great feeling.
I’ll admit as a handwriting-phobic scrapper, this album was a challenge for me. It’s frankly kind of hard to see all that handwriting of mine all over the pages. But you know what? It makes me happy. And I know that this is part of my legacy, part of me whether I love it or not.
Here is a link to the rest of my pages (I have about 6 left to complete).
